Six Details for a Bulk-Supply Request

“A large quantity” is not enough to evaluate an industrial or distribution inquiry. Specific numbers and units lead to clearer questions, even when the requested amount is only an estimate.

The six essentials

(1) product or category; (2) amount and unit; (3) desired packaging; (4) delivery city and receiving point if known; (5) desired date or potential delivery schedule; and (6) relevant specifications or documentation needs.

Why the unit matters

Individual packs, cartons, weight and liquid volume are not interchangeable measures. If you have not chosen a packaging unit, identify the uncertainty instead of creating a false precision. Likewise, a requested delivery date is not confirmation that the supplier has accepted it.

After receiving a response, compare the same products and units, including delivery and commercial terms. Record where a seller needs clarification.
